Biography

Dr. T.H. ALIYU is currently an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Crop Protection, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ilorin-Nigeria. He teaches courses in undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. He has served as an Examinations Officer, Undergraduate Coordinator, Member of the Senate, etc. His research interest is in Plant Pathology/Virology specifically the diagnosis of plant viral diseases using molecular methods and the use of organic amendments and plant extracts in managing plant viruses, amongst others. Dr. T.H. Aliyu is a distinguished member of the Nigerian Society for Plant Virology, the Nigerian Society for Plant Protection, and the Phytopathological Society of Nigeria.
