Prof. T.H. ALIYU is currently a Professor of Plant Pathology/Virology and the immediate past Head of the Department of Crop Protection, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Ilorin-Nigeria. He teaches courses in undergraduate and postgraduate programs. He has served as an Examinations Officer, Undergraduate Coordinator, Member of the Senate, etc. His research interest is in Plant Pathology/Virology specifically is in the diagnosis of plant viral diseases using molecular methods and the use of organic amendments and plant extracts in managing plant viruses, amongst others. Prof. T.H. Aliyu is a distinguished member of the Nigerian Society for Plant Virology, the Nigerian Society for Plant Protection, The American Society of Plant Pathology and the Phytopathological Society of Nigeria.
