Ms. Anifowose began her research career at the molecular level in the Tissue Culture Laboratory of the Department of Crop Protection and Environmental Biology, University of Ibadan. She then proceeded to the Crop Protection Department, University of Ilorin, where she established the nematocidal activities of the effective microorganisms technology and compost manure on Meloidogyne incognita. She worked briefly at the Kwara State Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources before joining the University of Ilorin as an Assistant Lecturer in 2023. Her current explorations center on elucidation of the molecular and biochemical basis of plant-nematode interactions; unveiling of genetic variations within different populations of plant nematodes. She is a peer reviewer for Scientia Agriculturae Bohemica and the Punjab University Journal of Zoology.
